Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

This problem seems to go much beyond what you have taken before. If you have a graphing calculator (like the TI-83 or TI-84) you can teach it to do what is necessary to turn this into a ln (log base e) regression. The steps are far too numerous to give you here and the manual that came with the TI models are of no use whatever.

What to do?

There are two solutions to the problem. You can follow the directions (which are really excellent -- you just have to be patient and pause and rewind many times) to use a video found by googling ln regression.

Or you can go down to regression tools when you have searched through ln regression calculators on google.

In any event, the answer you get is

y = a + b ln(x)

a = - 76.20

b = 37.67

when you put the original points into the regression log formula, you find that you are off just slightly as you go down your table, but no more than a point and 1/2 for any of x entries which solve for y.

For example

y = - 76.20 + (37.67)*ln 9 gives

y = - 76.20 + 81.29

y = 6.5694 which given that this is stats is pretty close. Since stats is anything but my strong point, that's as much as I can give you.

RR3-03 A posted speed limit of 55 mph means (Select the one BEST answer from the choices provided.) 8-2/43
Illusion [34]

A posted speed limit of 55 mph means that: You may drive 55 mph only under favorable conditions.

What is the speed limit?

Speed limits on road traffic, as used basically to set the legal maximum speed at which vehicles are permitted to utilize on a given stretch of road.

Now generally, speed limits are normally indicated on traffic signs reflecting the maximum allowable speed in kilometers per hour (km/h) or eevn miles per hour (mph). They are primarily set by the legislative bodies of national or provincial governments and then enforced by law enforcement agencies. This suggests that speed limits varies from road to road and is even absent in some certain areas.

Now, in this question we are told that the posted speed limit is 55 mph. Thus, from our definitions of speed limits above it is clear that A posted speed limit of 55 mph means that: You may drive 55 mph only under favorable conditions.

Find the measure of an angle whose complement is five times its measure.
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

The measure of the unknown angle is 15°.

Step-by-step explanation:

Represent this angle by A. Then the complement of A is 90° - A.

"Angle whose complement is five times its measure" would be expressed as

90° - A = 5A

Solve this for A by adding A to both sides:

90° = 6A. Then A = 90°/6, or 15°
