Helen tells her nephew, Bernard, that she will pay him $100 if he will stop smoking for six months. Helen was hopeful that if Be

rnard stopped smoking for six months, he would stop altogether. Bernard stops smoking for six months but then resumes his smoking. Helen will not pay him. She says that the type of promise she made cannot constitute a binding contract and that, furthermore, it was at least implied that he would stop smoking for good. Can Bernard legally collect $100 from Helen

If there is no proof that this deal was made Bernard cannot legally take the money from Helen. If Helen reported that Bernard took $100, he would be found guilty of stealing because there is no legal documents stating that he is owed this money.

Brut [27]

Answer:

There are two ways in which Return on Assets can be calculated depending on whether we consider Total assets at year-end or average total assets.

Return on Assets = \frac{Net Income}{Total Assets at year end}   1

                                                          or

Return on Assets = \frac{Net Income}{Average Assets}       2

Substituting the values in equation 1 we get,

Return on Assets = \frac{25500}{316000}

Return on Assets = \frac{25500}{316000}

Return on Assets = 0.080696203  or 8.07%

Substituting values in equation 2 we get,

Return on Assets = \frac{Net Income}{Average Assets}

Return on Assets = \frac{Net Income}{\frac{Assets at beginning + Assets at year end}{2}}

Return on Assets = \frac{25500}{\frac{216000 + 316000}{2}}

Return on Assets = \frac{25500}{266000}

Return on Assets = 0.095864662 or 9.58%

Production and sales estimates for March for Robin Co. are as follows: Estimated inventory (units), March 1 18,000 Desired inven
nevsk [136]

Answer:

Production = 27600 units

Explanation:

The number of units that must be produced during the month should be enough to meet the selling requirement for the month plus the desired level of ending inventory. Any starting of beginning inventory at the start of the month will reduce the number of units to be produced. Thus, the formula to calculate production for the month is,

Sales = Opening inventory + Production - Closing Inventory

Total sales = 7000 + 8000 + 9000 = 24000

24000 = 18000  +  Production  -  21600

24000 + 21600 - 18000 = Production

Production = 27600 units

Jose received $400 for his birthday from his family. He wishes to buy a motorcycle and decides to use his birthday money towards
arsen [322]

Answer:

The correct answer is Future value with compound interest and $478.25.

Explanation:

According to the the scenario, the given data are as follows:

Present value (PV) = $400

Rate of interest = 6%

Rate of interest ( compounded quarterly) (rate) = 1.5%

Time period = 3 years

Time period ( compounded quarterly) ( Nper) = 12

So, we have to calculate Future value with compound interest because it is asking for a amount after 3 year.

So, we can calculate the future value by using financial calculator.

The attachment is attached below.

So, FV = $478.25
