The 1765 Stamp Act required taxes when transferring documents like mortgages, contracts, marriage licenses, cheques, and even everyday items like dice, playing cards, and newspapers. It made colonists furious, and Patrick Henry, then a budding lawyer from Virginia, introduced resolutions where the implementation of the Stamp Act will give colonists the same rights and privileges as Britons, and that taxation should be implemented by Virginians and by the Virginia legislature, not by the Crown’s agents. It is one of first that put power in the hands of State governments, which will dominate political discussion for decades.

1. Identify the underlined element in the following passage from the novel Bleak House by Charles wingspanens.
mr_godi [17]
For the first question we say that is an absolute phrase because it combinesa noun and a participle with any acompanying modifier or object. For the second question we can see that the mood of this oart of the passage os dreary as it describes fog and many creepy and sad situations related to it. And for the 3rd question we can say it is a slow pace, even there are many sentences, he takes the time to describe or give more information to the reader for many of the sentences of this paragraph, something that surely cannot be told in a fast pace

Why is it is important to preview sources before using them in your research? please help
Goshia [24]
I believe the correct is the third option. It is important to preview sources before using them in your research because it reveals deeper concepts. Reading deeply the sources would allow you to have a deeper understanding of the sources and determine which parts of the sources are useful to your research.
