lord [1]

Answer:

b. 8,800,000.

Step-by-step explanation:

In maria study the number of cars on the road increases by 10% each year.

Total number of cars in the first year =80 million cars.

We will add 10% of 80 million to 80 milion to enable us get the number of cars for the second year.

For year 2 we have;

10% of 80,000,000+80,000,000

\frac{10}{100}*80,000,000+80,000,000

8,000,000 + 80,000,000

88,000,000

number of cars in year 2 = 88 million

We will add 10% of 88 million to 88 milion to enable us get the number of cars for the third year.

\frac{10}{100}*88,000,000+88,000,000

8,800,000+88,000,000

96,800,000

the number of cars on the road in year 3 compared to year 2 will just be the increase which is in BOLD. That is 8,800,000

or simply subtract the number of cars in year 2 from that in year 3;

96,800,000-88,000,000 = 8,800,000

The sequence an = 8, 13, 18, 23, ... is the same as the sequence a1 = 8, an = an-1 + 5.
harkovskaia [24]
Actually, this answer would be true. Why?

The first equation is: a(sub n) = 8, 13, 18, 23

The second is: a(sub 1)=8 ; a(sub n)= a(sub n-1)+5
if you wish to find the second term, plug two into the equation for n
8+5=13
to find the third, plug the second term, 13, in for n.
13+5=18.

Hope this helped! I know it's a bit on the late side, but at least you can get the general idea!

a cake using eggs and potatoes in the ratio of 2 to 5 if he uses sex as how many potatoes will he need
tamaranim1 [39]
When eggs = 2, then potatoes = 5

Eggs: 2
Potatoes: 5

When that is changed to 6 eggs, 2 needs to be multiplied by a number to get 6.

2 * what = 6      or      6/2=

you get the number 3. A fraction is equivalent to a ratio. So if you have 2*3=6 then you need to multiply 5*3 to get the amount of potatoes you need. the answer is 15 potatoes because 5*3=15.
