Amount earned in one hour : 6.25

Amount needed to earn : 400

So, number of hours required for earning the required amount :
= Needed amount/Amount earned in an hour
= 400/6.25 = 64

Elvin has three sails of different sizes for his model ships. Which of the sails are congruent, and which are similar?
murzikaleks [220]

Similar means angles are the same

Congruent means angles and sides are the same.

Sail 1 and sail 2 have the same angles but the sides are not the same.

So sail 1 and sail 2 are similar.

What is the equation for the line perpendicular to the line represented by the equation y = 13x – 2 that passes through the poin
laiz [17]

The equation of the perpendicular line is:

y = (-1/13)*x - 87/13

How to get the line equation?

For a general linear equation:

y = a*x + b

Another linear equation that is perpendicular to the above one is given by:

y = (-1/a)*x + c

Where a, b, and c are real numbers.

In this case, we want to find a perpendicular line to:

y = 13*x - 2

Then it will be something like:

y = (-1/13)*x + c

To find the value of c, we use the fact that it must pass through the point (4, -7), then:

-7 =  (-1/13)*4 + c

Now we can solve that for c:

-7 + 4/13 = c

-87/13

Then the linear equation is:

y = (-1/13)*x - 87/13

First find average
(5+5+5+5+7+9)/6=6
now see how much they each are differnt
5 to 6 is 1
5 to 6 is 1
5 to 6 is 1
5 to 6 is 1
7 to 6 is 1
9 to 6 is 3

average those
(1+1+1+1+1+3)/6=8/6=4/3=1.333

answer is 1.33

Calculate the slope between the coordinates (-2,3) and (2,-1) using the slope formula.
matrenka [14]

Answer:

slope = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you need to know the slope formula: y2 - y1

                                                                       x2 - x1

Now recognize the first point (-2,3) as (x1,y1) and the second point (2,-1) as (x2,y2)

Now that you have done that, plug in the numbers into the slope equation.

Which should look like this: -1 - 3

                                                   2 - -2

Now that your equation looks like this, recognize the denominator, we should know that a negative plus a negative equals a positive. So instead of subtracting the denominator of the equation, we are going to add the two numbers together, because x1 is negative. Now solve, you should get the answer -1.

                       -1 - 3                        -4    = -1

                       2 + 2                        4

Hope this was helpful!
