Answer: Stratum Basale

Explanation:

The two main layers composed in the skin are the epidermis and the dermis.

The epidermis is the superficial layer of the skin and is composed of four to five layers depending on the location of the body.

These layers are; stratum basale, stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum corneum and a fifth superficial layer located only on the palms of the hand and soles of the feet, called stratum lucidum.

The epidermic layers ranges from deep to superficial, with the deepest and fifth layer being "stratum basale" also called the "stratum germinativum" which is just located above the layers of the dermis. And in this case would be the fifth layer the splinter would penetrate and then injure.

Which individual will probably have the highest blood alcohol concentration after consuming three drinks in 1 hour?
svlad2 [7]

A. a woman with high body weight and high percent body fat.

Body fat

The body fat percentage (BFP) of a person or other living thing is calculated by dividing the entire mass of fat by the total body mass and multiplying the result by 100. To sustain life and the ability to reproduce, the body needs essential fat. Because of the needs of childbearing and other hormonal activities, women have a higher amount of essential body fat than males do. Adipose tissue, which has a protective function for internal organs in the chest and belly, is the source of storage body fat. Body fat % can be measured with calipers or by using a bioelectrical impedance analysis technique, among other options.

A. a woman with high body weight and high percent body fat

Alcohol is classified as a drug.
a. TRUE
b. FALSE
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

a. TRUE

Explanation:

In everyday language, alcohol is known as the chemical compound ethanol, also named as ethyl alcohol. It is a colorless and flammable liquid, whose boiling point is 78 ° C. This compound is used to prepare alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages can be produced by fermentation (such as wine and beer) or by distillation (such as liquor). It should be noted that ethyl alcohol is a psychoactive drug for humans. Its consumption produces, in principle, a feeling of joy. At the time, the individual may suffer coordination problems and have blurred vision. With excessive consumption, it is possible to reach a state of unconsciousness and, at an extreme level, reach death by poisoning.
