If salt water causes things shrivel and fresh water causes things to grow then why is the fish in the ocean so big and the fish

in fresh water so small or is it beause the ocean monumental in size the fish will be too like a plecostomus in a 50 gal. tank??

Not quite... Water animals just likall animals through evolution changed to adjust to their environment a bull shark in a pond would be counterproductive just because of size and the of finding adequate (there are fish but are tiny) food.
