The y-intercept represents the number of bars sold in the year 2000.  In this case y=15 because:

y=15(1.1)^0

y=15(1)

y=15

And y is in thousands so this represents the sale of 15000 bars in the year 2000.

The y-intercept, in this case, represents when x is at 0, or when she just began observing.

This is true because 2/5 = 4/10
If u gave 1/10 of a pizza to 6 friends then you would have given them 6/10 of your pizza and have 4/10 left over because 4/10 + 6/10 = 10/10 or 1
Hope this helped :)

If n(A) = P and n(B)=q then n(AxB) is (a ) p (b ) q ( c ) p+q ( d ) pq<br><br>
Butoxors [25]

By way of example, suppose <em>A</em> = {1, 2, 3} and <em>B</em> = {<em>a</em>, <em>b</em>, <em>c</em>}. Then the Cartesian product of <em>A</em> and <em>B</em> is

<em>A</em> × <em>B</em> = {{1, <em>a</em>}, {1, <em>b</em>}, {1, <em>c</em>}, {2, <em>a</em>}, {2, <em>b</em>}, {2, <em>c</em>}, {3, <em>a</em>}, {3, <em>b</em>}, {3, <em>c</em>}}

That is, each element in <em>A</em> gets a pairing with each element in <em>B</em>, and for each pairing you have <em>n(A)</em> choices for the first element and <em>n(B)</em> choices for the second element.

So if <em>n(A)</em> = <em>p</em> and <em>n(B)</em> = <em>q</em>, then <em>n(A</em> × <em>B)</em> = <em>pq</em>.

Solve for x: 5x+7=3x−9.
ludmilkaskok [199]

To solve for x in the given equation;

5x+7=3x-9

We start by collecting like terms, as follows;

5x-3x=-9-7

When a number crosses the sign of equality, the sign in front of it switches. Positive numbers becomes negative, and vice versa.

We would now have;

\begin{gathered} 5x-3x=-9-7 \\ 2x=-16 \\ \text{Divide both sides by 2;} \\ \frac{2x}{2}=\frac{-16}{2} \\ x=-8 \end{gathered}

ANSWER:

The answer is x = -8
