Answer:

A. Osmosis occurs through a semipermeable membrane. Diffusion occurs through a permeable membrane.

Explanation:

Diffusion is the transport of membrane permeable substances. These, in solution, can flow from the inside out of the cell or vice versa spontaneously. This process occurs from a region with higher particle concentration to one with lower concentrations. Gas exchange between blood and tissues is an example of this type of transport.

On the other hand, osmosis is a process of diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane and occurs from the less concentrated to the most concentrated solution. This process is a type of passive transport because during osmosis the cell does not waste energy.

Based on this, we can say that what makes osmosis different from diffusion is that osmosis occurs through a semipermeable membrane, whereas diffusion occurs through a permeable membrane.

A screening tool for benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostate cancer includes palpation of the prostate. Explain how this is ac
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

Palpation of the prostate is done by palpating it through the anterior portion of the rectal wall.

Explanation:

Prostate palpation is performed in doctors' offices during a routine urologist appointment. The specialist will ask the patient to take off his clothes and lie on a stretcher. The position for rectal touch depends on the practice of each doctor. It can be done lying in bed in the gynecological position, lying on its side or standing flexing the abdomen on the stretcher.

The doctor will introduce the gloved, lubricated finger into the rectal region (canal that connects the anus to the rectum) and reach the prostate through the anterior portion of the rectal wall. The exam takes approximately 10 seconds to complete. The procedure is painless, but may end up causing some discomfort.

All body systems????????
katrin [286]

The main systems of the human body are:

Circulatory system: Circulates blood around the body via the heart, arteries and veins, delivering oxygen and nutrients to organs and cells and carrying their waste products away. Equalizes temperature in the body.

Digestive system: Mechanical and chemical processes that provide nutrients via the mouth, esophagus, stomach and intestines. Eliminates waste from the body.

Endocrine system: Provides chemical communications within the body using hormones.

Integumentary system/ Exocrine system:  Skin, hair, nails, sweat and other exocrine glands

Lymphatic system / Immune system: The system comprising a network of lymphatic vessels that carry a clear fluid called lymph. Defends the body against pathogens that may endanger the body.

Muscular system: Enables the body to move using muscles.

Nervous system: Collects and processes information from the senses via nerves and the brain and tells the muscles to contract to cause physical actions.

Renal system / Urinary system/ Excretory system: The system where the kidneys filter blood.

Reproductive system: The sex organs required for the production of offspring.

Respiratory system: The lungs and the trachea that bring air into and out of the body.

Skeletal system: Bones supporting the body and its organs.

Vestibular system: Provides the leading contribution to the sense of balance and spatial orientation for the purpose of coordinating movement with balance.

Hope This Helps!    Have A Nice Day!!
