It is 10.5cm, 20.8cm, 23.3cm
as (10.5)^2 + (20.8)^2 = 542.89 { pythagorus theorem}
and (23.3)^2 = 542.89

suppose a parabola has an axis of symmetry at x=-2, a maximum height of 8, passes through the point (-6, 2). Wrire the equation
Virty [35]

Answer:

y = -3/8(x + 2)^2 + 8

Step-by-step explanation:

vertex form is

y = a(x - b)^2 + c     where a is a constant and (b,c) is the vertex.

The maximum is at (-2, 8)  because x 8 = height and x =-2 is equn. of symmetry

So here we have

y = a(x - (-2))^2 + 8

y = a(x + 2)^2 + 8

Now at the point (-6, 2):

2 = a(-6+2)^2 + 8

2 = 16a + 8

16a = -6

1 = -3/8.

So our equation is y = 3/8(x + 2)^2 + 8

The function is divided by 12, you would find it out by dividing 120 by 10 and getting 12, if you wanted to check your answer, you would do 84 divided by 7 which is 12. the answer to 12 is 1 and 24 is 2. hope this helped :))

We are going to need to know the formula for the lateral surface area and volume of a cylinder in order to find our answers. Below are the equations:

A_L = 2 \pi r h

V = \pi r^2 h

  • h is the height
  • r is the radius

Using these formulas, we can solve these problems.

A_L = 2 (3.14)(48.9) (84.3) \approx \boxed{25887.856}

V = (3.14) (48.9)^2 (84.3) \approx \boxed{632958.069}
