The answer is catastrophism.

Catastrophism is a theory explaining that the Earth has been affected by sudden catastrophes which created its geological features. Some of the proposed catastrophes is a global flood followed by an uplifting of some rock which happened sudden, in a short period of time. It is opposite theory to uniformitarianism which explains that the Earth was formed in slow changes.

mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

There will be 12 chromosomes

Explanation:

We have given that The epithelial cells in the skin of an animal have 24 chromosomes

We have to find the number of chromosomes present in the gametes of this animal

We know that number of chromosomes present in the gametes is given by

\frac{number\ of\ chromosmes\ present\ in\ skin}{2}

So number of chromosomes in gametes =\frac{24}{2}=12chromosomes

What are the effects that enzymes can have on substrates
Burka [1]
In chemical reactions involving enzymes, the substrate proteins are huge molecules that will only react with each other if they're aligned just the right way. If they are permitted to interact with the enzymes present, the won't collide and react often enough for the reaction to do any good.The enzymes align the molecules, basically acting like "molecule shepherds," showing them the way they need to react.This speeds up the reaction greatly, making things like digestion possible. Hope this is helpful
