Another reason is that being a Christian can cause the people around you to make fun of you and exclude you from groups, social gatherings, etc. Additionally, being a Jesus follower may even keep you from getting a job. While it can be intimidating, following Jesus is the best thing you can do. Due to many reasons such as becoming a public outcast, it will take courage to openly follow Him.
