You should choose natural or lightly processed foods as often as possible. The term natural food denotes any food that has undergone minimal processing, whose ingredients come from natural sources, and contains little or no artificial additive or preservatives before consumption. Lightly processed foods on the other hand include examples like pre-cut apple slices, hard-boiled eggs, canned tuna and frozen vegetables. These are also nutritious choices. Processed foods should be avoided.
