While, it may not necessarily harm the people at all times, political corruption creates a channel of influence over the the political figures, which would most likely to be abused but the third parties.

In particular, Rasputin was accused of taking financial bribes and saxual favors from third party actors in order to exercise his power of the czar family and thus help these actors to get what they were seeking.

From a liberal perspective, voter suppression is frowned upon in modern day society. Although when voter suppression is linked to the politicians involvement, evidence must be presented for it which is quite difficult to do since the politicians will try everything in their power to push you down. But if the appropriate evidence is presented then the international law may give severe punishment to the any leader who was responsible for voter suppression.

In my opinion, we the people of the Earth must stand against voter suppression where ever it is occurring. Voter suppression is equivalent to oppression in a way because your voices are being suppressed by the government and this counts as oppression.
