A novel multicellular organism has been discovered whose natural habitat is a barren desert with limited water and nutrients. Th

Answer:

The correct answer will be- sexual reproduction

Explanation:

An organism can reproduce by either of two ways of reproduction called asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction.

Both modes of reproduction prove beneficial to the organism but based on the environmental condition, the organism use either sexual mode or asexual mode or both.

In the given condition, since the organism has to adapt and evolve in response to the desert conditions which requires changes in the DNA sequences which can take place only during the mechanism of sexual reproduction like crossing over or genetic recombination, therefore, sexual reproduction is the correct answer.

White raven [17]

Answer:

It could largely impact the way you look.

Explanation:

Since 100% of your DNA decides how you look, if even one thing changes, one part of your look would change. Sometimes it's something big like eye color, or sometimes like a small change in skin color.

Give an example of a cultured behavior
rusak2 [61]

Answer: Cultural behavior must involve the use of artifacts. The most famous example in the animal world is the termite stick. Some chimpanzees in Tanzania have learned to fish termites out of their nests using sticks. Everything they see, touch, interact with and think about is cultural.

Several factors can lead to speciation. Eastern and western meadowlarks are similar birds whose habitats overlap in the United S
m_a_m_a [10]

The correct answer is option C, that is, behavioral isolation.

The phenomenon of behavioral isolation takes place when two populations possess the tendency of interbreeding, but exhibit distinctions in courtship rituals or other kinds of behavior. For example, the western and eastern meadowlarks are very identical birds whose habitat overlap in the middle of the United States.

However, the members of the two species will not mate with each other, possibly as they use different songs in order to fascinate males. The eastern meadowlarks will not respond to the songs of western meadowlarks, and vice versa.

Researchers are studying the abnormal activity of kinases in relation to cancer. Theoretically, how might researchers use signal
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

I am pretty sure that the answer is A.

Explanation:

Protein kinases regulate the cell cycle by giving the "go-ahead" or "stop" signal at checkpoints in the cycle. A mutation/disruption in the protein kinases can result in it not doing its job properly. As a result, it can give the 'go-ahead' signal to all cells (mutated or not) to continue through the cell cycle. A distrupted kinase will infleunce the enviornment for a cancer cell as the cancer cell can continue to divide continuously.

I do not think the answer is D because G-couped receptirs are not involed in the regulation of the cell cycle. Additionally, I do not think the answer is C since the production of cAMP (a secondary messgenger amplifies transduction signals; this doesn't have anything to do with cancer?) Finally, between A and B I know that a direct result of cancer is due to a distruption in either protien kinases or  growth factors (not in the answer choices). Since one of the factors that  leads to cancer is present in answer choice A, I think that is the one. However, this is just my reasoning, I am not 100% sure!
