What would happen to the size of the carnivore population if the herbivore population increased?

It would also increase because the herbivores are eaten by the carnivores.

Hi!

So, a herbivore is basically the vegetarian of the animal kingdom. The carnivore, on the other hand, is the meat head of the animal kingdom, meaning they only consume meat.

But, there's actually a middle ground. This middle ground is an omnivore. The majority of humans are omnivores, as we eat both vegetables and meat. Let's investigate the question, though!

So, if we have animals that only eat veggies, and they increase in size - what will happen to the animals that only eat meat? Well, those carnivores will prey on animals which will not fight back usually, or hunt them.

This means that if there are more animals which do not pose a threat, the carnivores population will <em>increase </em>because there is more of a food supply for them. Carnivores often times prey on herbivores, which is why this would happen.
