Frequency- number of wave cycles that occur in a given amount of time.

Pitch- number of wavelengths in a given amount of time.

Amplitude- fluctuation or displacement of a wave from its mean value. That means how high or low they are away from the center line.

Volume- The perception of loudness from the intensity of a sound wave. The higher the intensity of a sound, the louder it is perceived in our ears, and the higher volume it has.

Wavelength- the distance between the tops of the waves

volume deals with the loudness, frequency is the pace, amplitude is the force used pitch is how high and wavelength is the length of the top part of the wave

Adherens junctions ______________________. (a) can be used to bend epithelial sheets into tubes. (b) are most often found at the
Paladinen [302]

Answer:

(a) can be used to bend epithelial sheets into tubes.

Explanation:

The adherens junctions are cell-cell adhesions localized in places exposed to abrasion or mechanical stress, close to the apical membrane in epithelial cells is one of these locations. Some of their functions are the initiation and stabilization of cell-cell adhesion, they join the actin cytoskeleton to the plasma membrane to form adhesive contacts between cells that contribute to the folding and bending of epithelial sheets, therefore they can mediate adhesion and signaling.

Which trait distinguishes the kingdom of bacteria and archeae
Degger [83]

Answer:

Cell walls

Explanation:

virtually all bacteria contain peptidoglycan in their cell walls; however, archaea and eukaryotes lack peptidoglycan. Various types of cell walls exist in the archaea. Therefore, the absence or presence of peptidoglycan is a distinguishing feature between the archaea and bacteria

Which has prokaryotic cells ?
zalisa [80]
The correct choice from given option is "D", "Lactobacillus"
It seems proper to explain a bit about the types of cells here. Two type of cells are:
1) Prokaryotic: these cells have no nucleus and they are small and simple.
2) Eukaryotic: These cells have a nucleus and are large and complex as opposed to prokaryotic.

"Lactobacillus" belong to first stated category here.
