The geometric sequence that tells the perimeter of each stage in the building of Koch's snowflake has a first term of 3 and a ra

tio of 4/3.
At the 18th stage in the construction of this snowflake, the length of each tiny side would be about the size of an atom! Using the explicit formula for the nth term of a geometric sequence, what is the length of the perimeter a18 to the nearest whole number?

A. 399
B. 299
C. 200
D. 133
E. 99

An = a1 * r^(n-1)
n = term to find = 18
a1 = first term = 3
r = common ratio = 4/3
now we sub

a18 = 3 * 4/3^(18 - 1)
a18 = 3 * 4/3^17
a18 = 3 * 133
a18 = 399

REY [17]
<h2>Hello!</h2>

The answer is: f(x) = 2x^{2}

<h2>Why?</h2>

Quadratic function describes the graph of a parabola and they are formed by a quadratic term (x^{2}) a linear term (bx) and a constant number (c). Quadratic terms have an exponent of 2 and linear terms have an exponent of 1.

For this situation, we have only the quadratic term (x^{2}) which is enough to know that there is a quadratic function.

Have a nice day!

Constant of Variation has this formula for Direct Variation.
y = kx
Where y = cost in dollars; x = length in meters; k = constant

We will use the formula for direct variation because the problem states that the cost varies directly to the length.

In the problem we need to get the constant of variation.

k = y/x
k = $4500 / 200 meter
k = $22.50 cost per meter.

A.) The equation relating C and s is:

k = C/s
* i just substituted C for y and s for x.

B.) The constant of variation represents the additional cost that the company will pay for every meter in length they add. which is $22.50 per meter.

C.) y = kx ; substitute C and s to y and x respectively;

C = ks
C = $22.50 * 700 m
C = $15,750

8. Asphere nas o volume of 2304 mme. Find the diameter of the sphere
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula

r = ∛(V/( pi * 4/3))      Invert the 4/3 and multiply the numerator by 4

Solution

r = ∛ 3 V / (4 pi ))              Substitute values

r = ∛ 3 * 2304 / 12.56      4*pi = 4 * 3.14 = 12.56. Multiply 3 * 2304

r = ∛ 6912 / 12.56            Divide

r = ∛ 550.3187                 Take the cube root

r = 8.195

Which number completes the square? x2 − 20x + _____?
olganol [36]
Let's apply the following formula:

(x + a)^2 = x^2 + 2ax + a^2

We know that 2ax = -20x

Now, let's solve for a

First, let's divide both sides by 2.

ax = -10x

Now, let's divide both sides by x

a = -10

Now, let's square that value to find the number that completes the square.

a^2 = (-10)^2

a^2 = 100

The number that completes the square is 100.

Have an awesome day! :)
