Answer:

Coordinates of fourth vertex are (8,9)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Laura is designing a rectangular porch for her house. On her scale drawing, the vertices of the rectangle are (2, 7), (8, 7), and (2, 9).

we have to find the coordinates of the fourth vertex.

As diagonals of rectangle bisect each other and are congruent then the coordinates of E is the mid-point of AC as well as BD.

By mid-point formula if (a,b) and (c,d) are the coordinates of line segment then the coordinates of mid point are

(\frac{a+c}{2},\frac{b+d}{2})

Mid-point of AC= mid point of BD

(\frac{a+2}{2},\frac{b+7}{2})=(\frac{8+2}{2},\frac{7+9}{2})

(\frac{a+2}{2},\frac{b+7}{2})=(5,8)

Comparing both sides , we get

\frac{a+2}{2}=5 and \frac{b+7}{2}=8

a+2=10 and b+7=16

a=8 and b=9

Hence, coordinates of fourth vertex are (8,9)

It has to be (8, 9) because that would put the 4th corner above (8, 7) and right of (2, 9).

Answer:

The test statistic (z-score) of this one-mean hypothesis test is z=1.823.

Step-by-step explanation:

The null and alternative hypothesis are:

H_0: \mu=150\\\\H_a: \mu\neq 150

The significance level is 0.05.

The sample size is n=22.

The sample mean is M=157.

The standard deviation is 18.

The z-score can be calculated as:

z=\frac{M-\mu}{\sigma/\sqrt{n}}=\frac{157-150}{18/\sqrt{22}}  =\frac{7}{3.84} =1.823

The test statistic (z-score) of this one-mean hypothesis test is z=1.823.

What is the mode of Variable A? Scatter plot on a first quadrant coordinate grid. The horizontal axis is labeled Variable A. The
klemol [59]
Variable A : 1, 2, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9

Mode is the number that appears more frequently in the data set than other numbers.

1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 9 only appeared once.
4 appeared twice.

So, the mode of the data set is 4.

Additional info:
mean = (<span>1 + 2 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 9) / 8 = 38 / 8 = 4.75
median = (4 + 5) / 2 = 9 / 2 = 4.5
range = 9 - 1 = 8</span>
