Although I could never know the hardships that people went through during the era of Jim Crow, I would think that the African American community would be frustrated about how they had been treated during the time. People such as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. stood up for themselves and their people and helped with the racial injustices. It must have been hard, and to be brought up in a community in which you are put down and segregated because of something as insignificant as the color of your skin, where racism was justified by people in power. Growing up with the mindset that people don't appreciate you because of how you look must have been hard to understand, but something that was frequent and became the mindset of many. To put it in simpler terms, it must have been extremely tough.

"Watergate" was the scandal in which persons working for President Nixon's reelection campaign committed crimes to spy on their opponents at Democratic party headquarters, and then efforts were made to cover up those crimes. Nixon didn't directly order the break-ins and spying attempts, but he did order the cover-up of his administration's connections to those activities.
The first break-in attempt by burglars working on Nixon's behalf occurred in May, 1972, as persons connected to the Nixon reelection campaign broke into the Democratic National Committee office in the Watergate complex of buildings in Washington, DC. They were planting wire-taps on the Democrats' phone lines, and also stole copies of documents. When the wire-taps didn't work properly, they broke in again (in June) to try to fix the surveillance devices, but they were caught.
Nixon's role in Watergate was especially in his efforts and those of members of his staff to cover up what had happened. Ultimately, the Watergate affair brought down the Nixon presidency. He resigned in order to avoid impeachment. And the whole affair made Americans more distrusting of government.
Essentially, the Proclamation of 1763, issued by King George III, prevented colonists from settling past the so-called <em>proclamation line</em>, west of the Appalachian mountains, even though part of that land had already been assigned, and it also prohibited the purchase of land from American Indians by private hands.
However, it benefited Georgia by granting the state a very significant amount of land. For instance, it gave it all the lands between the rivers Altamaha and St. Marys, therefore extending its southern border. In addition, two of the four new colonies that were created after the Proclamation (East and West Florida) were located south of Georgia. Between those two Floridas and Georgia there was a very large area of undesignated land, which soon afterwards was also granted to Georgia.
