If yo travel56mph how far will you go in2hr15min how long does it take to cover 168 miles
Alex73 [517]
2 hr 15 min = 2 \frac{1}{4} hours = 2.25 hours
"how far" means distance ... so distance = rate x time
distance = 56 x 2.25 = 126 miles

"how long" means time ... so using the same formula
168 = 56 x time
divide both sides of the equation by 56 to solve
3 hours = time

You were told that the amount of time lapsed between consecutive trades on the New York Stock Exchange followed a normal distrib
uysha [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that that (X) the amount of time lapsed between consecutive trades on the New York Stock Exchange followed a normal distribution with a mean of 15 seconds.

i.e. X is normal with mean = 15 and unknown std deviation \sigma

Given thatP(X

i.e. P(z

z=-1.475 (from normal table)

Hence \frac{13-15}{\sigma}=-1.475\\\sigma = 1.356

Using this we find P(X>17) = P(Z>\frac{17-15}{1.356} \\=P(Z>1.475)\\=0.5-0.428\\=0.072

What is subjective?? (Science)
natita [175]

Answer:

Hypotheses are always made by one individual or by a limited group of scientists, and are therefore subjective—based on the prior experience and processes of reason employed by those individuals, rather than solely on objective external process.

According to this view, human attitude is associated with human sciences; but as far as natural science is concerned there is no scope for any subjective elements. Scientific knowledge is purely objective, and it is an objective description of the real structure of the world.

Step-by-step explanation:

Pertaining to or characteristic of an individual; personal; individual: a subjective evaluation.

Phrase collocation :

  1. subjective idealism
  2. subjective test
  3. subjective brightness

Bilingual example Used as an adjective (adj.) :

  1. Whatever is subjective in you, is the truth.
  2. The answer is not easy and, in this case, it is largely subjective .
  3. Marxism is not true and is not science, but so what? The hermeneuticians tell us that nothing is objectively true, and therefore that all views and propositions are subjective.
  4. His arguments were never subjective.
  5. He took a subjective view of the problem.
  6. Grading of oral tests is quite subjective.

Use complete the square to solve 5x²-7x-3=0
Yuki888 [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

ax2 + bx + c = 0

x12 = (-b ± √D) / 2a , D = b2 - 4ac .

5x2 + 7x + 3 = 0

a = 5 , b = 7 , c = 3

D = 49 - 60 = - 11 , x1 = (-7 - i √11) / 10

x2 = (-7 + i √11) / 10
