Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Q varies inversely as the square of p then the equation relating them is

Q = \frac{k}{p^2} ← k is the constant of variation

To find k use the condition Q = 36 when p = 7

k = Qp² = 36 × 7² = 36 × 49 = 1764

Q = \frac{1764}{p^2} ← equation of variation

When p = 6, then

Q = \frac{1764}{6^2} = \frac{1764}{36} = 49 → C

Can someone teach me how to do this im a good learner i just missed days
mrs_skeptik [129]
I’m not very good at explaining but if we explain from the beginning the equation is y=m(x)+b and m means the slope while b means y- intercept so all you have to do is substitute these variables with the numbers in the problem basically it would be y=10x+10 also the picture attached is how you graph it. Hope this helped:)

Mikel gave a $1.32 tip for an order that cost $8.80. Determine whether or not each tip below is proportional to Mikel's tip. $2.
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

1. Proportional

2. Not proportional

3. Proportional

Step-by-step explanation:

Mike's proportion

Michael gave $1.32 tip for an order that cost $8.80

$1.32÷$8.80=0.15

Given

1. $2.22 for $14.80

$2.22÷$14.80 =0.15

It is proportional to Mike's tip

2. $1.86 for $10.50

$1.86÷$10.50=0.1771

It I not proportional to Mike's tip

3. $0.78 for $5.20

$0.78÷$5.20=0.15

It is proportional to Mike's tip

Therefore,

1. Proportional

2. Not proportional

3. Proportional

2X+15= -3x how do you work this equation
Sphinxa [80]

Answer: x=-3

<u>Add 3x to both sides</u>

<u></u>2x+15+3x=-3x+3x\\5x+15=0<u></u>

<u></u>

<u>Subtract 15 from both sides</u>

<u></u>5x+15-15=0-15\\5x=-15<u></u>

<u></u>

<u>Divide both sides by 5</u>

<u></u>5x/5=-15/5\\x=-3<u></u>
