Through your esteemed newspaper, I would like to express my concern about the rapid deforestation in my community. It was estimated by the Nigeria Forestry Department that about 100,000 trees had been cut illegally cut without any replacement from the forest reserve in Ososa this year. This alarming thrend needs to be urgently curtail to avoid further effects of global climate change in our community and the country at large.
