There is 12 spaces between -8 and 4....the midpoint will fall directly in the middle.....so 12/2 = 6...so 6 spaces will be the middle...6 spaces forward from -8 and 6 spaces backward from 4 will put u in the middle

-8 + 6 = -2 (add 6 to the -8)
4 - 6 = -2 (subtract 6 from 4)

so the midpoint is -2

Which expression is equivalent to 10a + 6? 10(a + 3) 2(5a + 3) 5(5a + 1) 10(a + 1)
Ivenika [448]
Hey there!
We can factor 10a+6 to get our answer.
Remember factoring as the opposite of the distributive property
(i.e factored would by ab+ac and distributive would be a(b+c)).
We can't have <em>a</em> on the outside, since the second term in our expression doesn't contain an that variable.
We take our greatest common factor, or GCF, so it's factored completely.
We have:
2(5a+3).
Hopefully this helps

A roulette wheel has the numbers 1 through 36, 0, and 00. A bet on four numbers pays 8 to 1 (that is, if you bet $1 and one of t
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

Lose $0.05

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 38 possible spots on the roulette wheel (numbers 1 to 36, 0 and 00).

If the player can choose four numbers on single $1 bet, his chances of winning (W) and losing (L) are as follows:

P(W) = \frac{4}{38} \\P(L) = 1-P(W) = 1-\frac{4}{38} \\P(L) = \frac{34}{38}

The expected value of the bet is given by the probability of winning multiplied by the payout ($8), minus the probability of losing multiplied by the bet cost ($1)

EV=\frac{4}{38}*\$8 -\frac{34}{38}*\$1\\EV= -\$0.05

On each bet, the player is expected to lose 5 cents ($0.05).

Can someone help geometry is confusing
NikAS [45]

<LMP and <NMP are supplementary angles so sum = 180

<LMP +  <NMP = 180

(-16x + 13) + ( - 20x + 23) = 180

-16x + 13  - 20x + 23 = 180

-36x + 36 = 180

-36x = 144

    x = -4

<LMP = -16x + 13 = -16(-4) + 13 = 77

<NMP = - 20x + 23 = - 20(-4)  + 23 = 103

Answer

<LMP  = 77°

<NMP  = 103°
