Y=5x+6 will pass through (1,11) and it is parallel to y=5x-7

5x can be interpreted as 5/1, which is the rise over run ( rise / run ) 
for every X value the line will go up by five 

Y=Mx+B

If we start at 11 and go down by five we get 6, this means if we have a B value of 6, with a rise/run of 5/1. at the first X value (1, Y), the Y value will be 11. (1,11)
