solution:

Terms of trade (TOT) = 1 pound green beans for 3 pound corn.

So, when Jake sells 72 pounds of corn, he buys (72 / 3) = 24 pounds of green beans, which is sold by Jane.

After specialization, Jane produces 80 pounds of green beans and sells 24 pounds out of it.

So, Jane consumes (80 - 24) = 56 pounds of green beans herself.

Also, after specialization, Jane produces only green beans and no corn, so her consumption of corn is equal to the quantity of corn sold by Jake, i.e. 72 pounds.

So, Jane consumes 56 pounds of green beans and 72 pounds of corn.

What is the probability that 6 rolls of a fair die will show four exactly 5 times?
storchak [24]

Answer:

very less

Step-by-step explanation:

When rolling a fair 6 sided die 5 times there are 6^5 possible combinations.

Of those, there are 5 ways to roll exactly four sixes, and each of those ways have 5 possible results on the die which has not rolled a six, plus there is 1 way to roll five sixes. 5*5+1=26 combinations with at least four sixes.

Now, take the number of results which fit your conditions, divide by the number of possible results and you get your answer: 26/7776 which can be reduced to 13/3338, a bit less than 0.4%

How do you solve 24 divided by 3/8?
ICE Princess25 [194]
24/1 divided by 3/8 would be 64. That can be found by finding the reciprocal (inverse) of the second fraction, multiplying the numerators and denominators to get 192/3. Then to simplify, you can divide both numerator and denominator by 3 to get 64/1 or 64. Hope that helps!
