Hey there!!

The equation given :

4 ( x + 6 ) > -5 ( x + 5 ) - 14

... 4x + 24 > -5x - 25 - 14

... 4x + 24 > - 5x - 39

Add 39 on both sides

... 4x + 63 > - 5x

Subtract 4x on both sides

... 63 > - 9x

Divide by -9 on both sides

When we divide both sides by a negative number, we switch the signs.

... -7 < x

Hope my answer helps!!

4(x + 6) > −5(x + 5) − 14  Given

(4)(x) + (4)(6) > (-5)(x) + (-5)(5) - 14

4x + 24 > −5x − 25 − 14 Distributive property

4x + 24 > -5x - (25 + 14)

4x + 24 > −5x − 39  Simplify right side

4x + 24 + 39 > -5x -39 + 39

4x + 63 > −5x  Addition property of equality

4x - 4x + 63 > -5x - 4x

 63 > −9x  Subtraction property of equality

63 : (-9) < -9x : (-9)    /-9 < 0 → switch the signs/

−7 < x      Division property of equality

motikmotik

Answer:

11 rides

Step-by-step explanation:

let the total amount be y

and let the number of ride be x

the expression for the situation is y=mx+c

given

total amount=$28

admission fee= $6

cost per ride=$2

we are expected to find x

substitute into the expression we have

28=2x+6

28-6=2x

22=2x

divide boths sides by 2 we have

x=22/2

x=11

the number of rides is 11

4.890 in expanded form?
dangina [55]

Answer: The student’s values are accurate as well as precise.

Explanation:

Precision refers to the closeness of two or more measurements to each other.

For Example: If you weigh a given substance three times and you get same value each time. Then the measurement is very precise.

Accuracy refers to the closeness of a measured value to a standard or known value.

For Example: If the mass of a substance is 50 kg and one person weighed 49 kg and another person weighed 48 kg. Then, the weight measured by first person is more accurate.

Given: Mass = 5.000 g

Mass weighed by A has values 4.891 g , 4.901 g and 4.890. Thus the average value is

Thus as the measured value is close to the true value, the student’s values are accurate and as the values are close to each other, the measurement is precise.
