X = 6y - 3
x + y = 53

6y - 3 + y = 53
7y - 3 = 53
7y = 53 + 3
7y = 56
y = 56/7
y = 8

x = 6y - 3
x = 6(8) - 3
x = 48 - 3
x = 45

ur numbers are : 8 and 45

Which number produces an irrational number when added to 5/8?
givi [52]
Choice D will create an irrational number when added. This is because a rational number plus a rational number will always be irrational (you can experiment this by trying to add rational numbers to pi). For example, 3 + pi = 6.1415926..... or 1+ \frac{2}{7} =1.285714....

I really really really really really really really really need help
Effectus [21]

The answer would be 3.8.

So, to get 3 to 4, you would have to multiply 3 by something to get to 4. So you would divide 4 by 3 and get 1.3. So then you would divide 5 by 1.3 to solve for k, since k times 1.3 equals 5.

5 ÷ 1.3 = 3.8.
