Sam is observing the velocity of a car at different times. After two hours, the velocity of the car is 50 km/h. After six hours,

the velocity of the car is 54 km/h.
Part A: Write an equation in two variables in the standard form that can be used to describe the velocity of the car at different times. Show your work and define the variables used. (5 points)

Part B: How can you graph the equation obtained in Part A for the first seven hours? (5 points)

Let:
x = hours of travel
y = velocity

slope= rise/run slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
(x1,y1) = (2,50) (x2,y2) = (6,54)
sub values back into the equation m = (54-50)/(6-2) m = 1
POINT SLOPE FORMy-y1 = m(x-x1) y-50= 1(x-2) y = x -2 +50
y = x + 48

B)

the graph within the first seven hours can be obtained at point B

x = 7

y = 7+48 = 55
B(7,55)

The University of South Texas is interested in determining if there is a difference in the average weight gain between male stud
Blizzard [7]

Answer: A. We are 95% confident that the population mean weight gain for male University of South Texas students is 2.4 more to 20,4 more than female University of South Texas students.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a 95% confidence interval of : (2.4, 20.4)

The lower boundary of the interval = 2.4

The upper boundary of the interval = 20.4

Male = group 2, Female = group 1

P2 - P1 is between lower boundary more and upper boundary more ;

Hence

Population mean weight for male is 2.4 more to 20.4 more than female

Find the perimeter of the polygon
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

The perimeter of the polygon is 48 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: \angle B \cong \angle D

To find the perimeter of the polygon, we need to find the lengths of the AB, BC, CD and DA

Since, \angle B \cong \angle D and to find the length, from circle theorem, "Two tangents from an external point to a circle are always equal in length".

From this statement we shall conclude,

The length of AB=5+6=11

The length of BC=6+7=13

The length of CD=7+6=13

The length of DA=6+5=11

Thus, the perimeter of the polygon is

\begin{aligned}\text {Perimeter} &=A B+B C+C D+D A \\&=11+13+13+11 \\&=48 \mathrm{cm}\end{aligned}

Hence, the perimeter of the polygon is 48 cm.

What is the simplified form of StartFractio negative 24 m Superscript 5 Baseline n Superscript 4 Baseline Over 8 m Superscript n
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

\frac{-24m^5n^4}{8m^{-7}n^{-2}}=-3m^{12}n^{6}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The expression to simplify is given as:

\frac{-24m^5n^4}{8m^{-7}n^{-2}}

We have to simplify this using the properties of exponents.

The property that we use here is:

\frac{a^m}{a^n}=a^{m-n}

So, let us simplify the powers of m\ and\ n separately and -24 and 8. This gives,

\frac{m^5}{m^{-7}}=m^{5-(-7)}=m^{5+7}=m^{12}\\\frac{n^4}{n^{-2}}=n^{4-(-2)}=n^{4+2}=n^6\\\frac{-24}{8}=-3

Therefore, the simplified form is:

\frac{-24m^5n^4}{8m^{-7}n^{-2}}=-3m^{12}n^{6}

Is the following conditional true? If p<2, then p≤2.
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]
If this is the only information you are given then no. This is because the < sign means that p is less than 2. The second sign cannot be true if the first one is because the second sign says that p is less than or equal to 2.
