Sam is observing the velocity of a car at different times. After two hours, the velocity of the car is 50 km/h. After six hours,

the velocity of the car is 54 km/h.
Part A: Write an equation in two variables in the standard form that can be used to describe the velocity of the car at different times. Show your work and define the variables used. (5 points)

Part B: How can you graph the equation obtained in Part A for the first seven hours? (5 points)

Let:
x = hours of travel
y = velocity

slope= rise/run slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
(x1,y1) = (2,50) (x2,y2) = (6,54)
sub values back into the equation m = (54-50)/(6-2) m = 1
POINT SLOPE FORMy-y1 = m(x-x1) y-50= 1(x-2) y = x -2 +50
y = x + 48

B)

the graph within the first seven hours can be obtained at point B

x = 7

y = 7+48 = 55
B(7,55)

Could someone please help answer this, please no spam, will give brainliest, thank you!
Jobisdone [24]

Answer:

x>-5

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{-1}{5} x+1

Subtract 1 from both sides

\frac{-1}{5} x+1-1

Simplify

\frac{-1}{5} x

Multiply both sides by -1, which reverses the inequality also

\frac{-1}{5} x(-1)>1(-1)

Simplify

\frac{1}{5} x>-1

Multiply both sides by 5

5*\frac{1}{5} x>5(-1)

Simplify

x>-5

4. When finding the intersection of two lines from both Algebra I and Geometry, you first "set the linear
Masteriza [31]

<u><em>Answer:</em></u>

The intersection point is (-4,-19)

<u><em>Explanation:</em></u>

<u>The two given equations are:</u>

y = 5x + 1

y = 2x - 11

<u>To find the intersection point, we will start by equating the two given equations and solving for x</u>

<u>This is done as follows:</u>

5x + 1 = 2x - 11

5x - 2x = -11 - 1

3x = - 12

x = -4

<u>Then, we will use the x and substitute in any of the equations to get the value of y</u>

<u>Using the first equation:</u>

y = 5x + 1 = 5(-4) + 1 = -19

<u>Check using the second equation:</u>

y = 2x - 11 = 2(-4) - 11 = -19 ................? checked

<u>Therefore:</u>

The intersection point between the two given equations is (-4,-19)

Hope this helps :)
