The answer is D.

The equation for inverse variation is y=k/x

This can also be represented by ky=x

This is because k varies inversely with x

Just as well as x varies inversely with y

There for since the equation is y=1/4x

We can assume k=1/4

Hope this helps and please give a rate, thanks, and, brainliest. I only need two more to reach virtuoso I would really appreciate it ;)

3x-1/5=x+1/3 pls help me
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

x=4/15

Step-by-step explanation:

first you need to make common denominators for 1/5 and 1/3

the common denominator is 15

5*3=15, 3*5=15. 1*3=3, 1*5=5

new equation:3x-3/15=x+5/15

now subtract x from both sides: 3x-3/15=x+5/15

                                                     -x          -x

                                                     2x-3/15=5/15

now you can add 3/15 to 5/15

2x=8/15

now for the last step, divide by 2 because there are 2 x's

2x/2=x         8/15 /2=4/15

x=4/15

Rashid [163]
1- Price of each carton:
Since they both bought different number of cartons of milk from the same store, we can simply find the price of one carton from the difference between what they both paid.

Since Tamara paid 3$ and Toe paid 3.75$, we can simply say that one carton of milk costs 0.75$ and that Toe bought one carton more than Tamra.

2- How many cartons each bought:
Tamra bought : 3 / 0.75 = 4 cartons
Toe bought : 3.75 / 0.75 = 5 cartons
