Answer:

Increase in Administrative Expense of $3,300 additional led to loss in the year 2016.

Explanation:

As for the provided details:

Particulars                2016             2015

Revenue                 $30,000         $20,000

Cost of goods sold  $17,800        $12,000

Gross margin          $12,200         $8,000

Operating Exp

Selling Exp             $4,800            $4,600

Admin. Exp             $7,800            $3,000

Total operating exp $12,600         $7,600

Net Income              ($400)            $400

As we see the major difference which is irrelevant is in administration expense, that is because difference in cost of goods sold is somewhere justified as, when it calculated as a percentage of sale that is $12,000/$20,000 = 60%

Thus for year 2016 also the expense shall be $30,000 \times 60% = $18,000

Thus, it is justified but for administrative expense $3,000/$20,000 = 15%

For 2016 = $30,000 \times 15% = $4,500

But since it is very much exaggerated, by $7,800 - $4,500 = $3,300 this is the main reason of loss.

The income approach The following table shows macroeconomic data for a hypothetical country. All figures are in billions of doll
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

A. $16,041 billion

B. $33 billion

Explanation:

A. Calculation to Determine what GDP for this economy is using the expenditure approach

Using this formula

GDP by expenditure method=C+I+G+X-M

Let plug in the formula

GDP by expenditure method= 6,300+2,300+4,521+3,120-200

GDP by expenditure method=$16,041 billions

Therefore GDP for this economy is $16,041 billion

B. Calculation to determine the statistical discrepancy.

First step is to calculate GDP at MP by income method

GDP at MP by income method=8,174+365+903+1,895+1,343+1,987+1,341

GDP at MP by income method=$16,008 billions

Now let calculate the Statistical discrepancy using this formula

Statistical discrepancy= GDP by expenditure method - GDP by income method

Let plug in the formula

Statistical discrepancy=$16,008-$16,041

Statistical discrepancy=$33 billions

Therefore the statistical discrepancy between national income and net national product, obtained when GDP is measured using the expenditure approach is $33 billion.

Researchers sample 4 comma 0004,000 households concerning tv shows they watch. based on the sample 1616% reported watching 60 m
arlik [135]
Given:
n = 4000, sample size
p = 16% = 0.16, the proportionof theose who watch60 minnures.
Confidence interval (CI) = 95%

The z* parameter is 1.96 for 95% CI, so the confidence interval is
p \pm z* \sqrt{ \frac{p(1-p)}{n} }
That is
0.16 +/- 1.96*√[(0.16*0.81)/4000]
= 0.16 +/- 0.114
= (0.1486, 0.1714)

Answer:
The 95% confidence interval is approximately (15%, 17%) or 15% ≤ p ≤ 17%.

Note:
To correct for the fact that we are using a discrete distribution to match a continuous distribution, it is customary to subtract 0.5/n from the lower limit and to add it to the upper limit.
If this correction is applied, the 95% confidence interval becomes
(0.1486-0.5/4000, 0.1714+0.5/4000)
= (0.1485, 0.1715)
or
15% ≤ p ≤ 17%
The correction does not affect the result in a significant way.
