Irma needs to rent a car for a business trip from Phoenix to San Jose (720 miles one way). She will drive round trip and will be

gone a total of 8 days. The car rental company charges $65.00 per day and allows for 1,600 miles for Irmas's trip. There will be an additional charge of $0.24 per mile over the 1,600 miles allowed. How many total miles can she drive without exceeding her budget of $600.00?

The cost per day is $65 per day, the total cost for 8days will be:
8×65
=520
suppose that E is the number of miles she can drive without exceeding $600.
Thus
0.24×E+520=600
hence solving for E we get
0.24E=600-520
0.24E=80
hence
E=80/0.24
E=333.3333
E~333

What is the equation of the following line? Be sure to scroll down first to see all answer options.
Serjik [45]

Answer:

<h3>The answer is option F</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation of a line is y = mx + c

where

m is the slope

c is the y intercept

To calculate the equation of the line first find the slope

Slope of the line using points

(0 , 0) and (4 , -2) is

m =  \frac{ - 2 - 0}{4 - 0}  =  \frac{ - 2}{4}  =  -  \frac{1}{2}

Now use the formula

y - y1 = m(x - x1) to find the equation of the line using any of the points

Using point (0,0)

That's

y - 0 =   - \frac{ 1}{2} (x - 0)

The final answer is

y =  -  \frac{1}{2} x

Hope this helps you

The table and scatter plot below show the number of hits and runs Tyler's baseball team got in each of 12 tournament games.
agasfer [191]

The correct statements are:

  • There is a positive linear equation between the number of hits and the scores
  • The point (7,13) is an outlier.
  • If the trend continues, for a game when Tyler's team gets 20 hits, the number of runs scored would be greater than 10 hits.

<h3>What are the correct statements?</h3>

An outlier is a number that is way smaller or way larger than that of other numbers in a data set. On a trend line, an outlier would be far from the trendline.

A positive linear relationship is when as one of the variables increase, the other variable also increases and the trendline is a straight line that is upward sloping.
