a_{n} = a_{1} + (n - 1)d

where d is the common difference and a_{1} the fist term

d = 2 - (- 2) = - 2 - (- 6) = - 6 - (- 10) = 4 and a_{1} = - 10, hence

a_{7} = - 10 + (6 × 4 ) = - 10 + 24 = 14

-6 + 4 = -2

-2+4 = 2
