$a_{n}$ = $a_{1}$ + (n - 1)d

where d is the common difference and $a_{1}$ the fist term

d = 2 - (- 2) = - 2 - (- 6) = - 6 - (- 10) = 4 and $a_{1}$ = - 10, hence

$a_{7}$ = - 10 + (6 × 4 ) = - 10 + 24 = 14
