Biomass represent the total dry weight of an organism.Whereas energy pyramid consist of tropic levels containing various organism.

Explanation:

Biomass is related to the energy pyramid by the flow of energy from one tropic level to another.

      The organisms of one tropic level eat the organisms which are present 1 tropic level below.The first tropic level contains producers or green plants such as grass.The second tropic level contains primary consumers or herbivores such as grasshopper.The third tropic level contain secondary consumers or primary carnivores such as snake.The fourth tropic level contain  tertiary consumers or secondary carnivores such as hawk.

      Some  energy is transferred from one tropic level to another and rest of the energy is lost as heat to the ecosystem.
