When Gisselle decided to stop eating junk food, she started saving more of her allowance to buy a larger bicycle. She managed to

put away 6 every week for 8 weeks and found a nice used bicycle for 50. She thought that she had close to that amount in her savings jar. Did she have exactly enough for the bicycle? If now, how much extra or how much too little did she have?

Answer:

Gisselle had $48 saved, which is $2 less than what she needs.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Gisselle is saving $6 every week and she is able to save for 8 weeks, we can either add all of her savings together, or we can multiply:

Week 1 = $6

Week 2 = $6

Week 3 = $6

Week 4 = $6

Week 5 = $6

Week 6 = $6

Week 7 = $6

<u>Week 8 = $6</u>

Total = $48

Also:  $6 x 8 = $48

Since the used bicycle is $50, we can subtract:

$50 - $48 = $2 that Gisselle still needs to buy the bike.

What are two fractions in between 3/5 and 4/5
lesya [120]
It seems there are not fractions between 3/5 and 4/5, but there are so many

for example, if you make denominator to 10 for both fractions, you will get 6/10 and 8/10
you can say 7/10 is in between 3/5 and 4/5

also, if you make denominator to 100 for both fractions, you will get 60/100 and 80/100
you can get 20 fractions between 3/5 and 4/5

5. The measure of an intercepted arc is 86, and the measure of the inscribed angle creating the intercepted arc is 3x +
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

Th correct option is D. 13

Therefore the value of x is 13.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

measure of an intercepted arc = 86°

Center Angle = 86°

measure of the inscribed angle creating the intercepted arc= (3x+4)°

Angle Inscribed in arc = (3x+4)°

To Find:

value of x = ?

Solution:

Inscribed Angle Theorem:

The inscribed angle theorem states that an angle θ inscribed in a circle is half of the central angle 2θ that subtends the same arc on the circle.

\textrm{Angle Inscribed in arc}=\dfrac{1}{2}\textrm{Center Angle}

Substituting the values we get

3x+4=\dfrac{1}{2}86=43\\\\3x=39\\\\x=\dfrac{39}{3}=13\\\\x=13

Therefore the value of x is 13.

100 POINTS+BRAINLIEST 8TH GRADE MATH PT 5: WRITE THE EQUATION OF A LINE- this one was strange because the slope is supposed to b
Finger [1]

Answer:

\textsf{b.} \quad 3x+5y=2

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Define the given points</u>:

\textsf{let}\:(x_1,y_1)=(4,-2)

\textsf{let}\:(x_2,y_2)=(-1,1)

Use the <u>slope formula</u> to determine the slope of the line:

\textsf{slope}\:(m)=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\dfrac{1-(-2)}{-1-4}=\dfrac{1+2}{-1-4}=-\dfrac{3}{5}

Use the <u>point-slope formula</u> to determine the equation of the line.

\implies y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

Substitute the found slope and point (4, -2):

\implies y-(-2)=-\dfrac{3}{5}(x-4)

\implies y+2=-\dfrac{3}{5}(x-4)

Multiply both sides by 5:

\implies 5(y+2)=-3(x-4)

Expand the brackets:

\implies 5y+10=-3x+12

Add 3x to both sides:

\implies 5y+10+3x=-3x+12+3x

\implies 3x+5y+10=12

Subtract 10 from both sides:

\implies 3x+5y+10-10=12-10

\implies 3x+5y=2
