B. Nothing about the Navajo's artistry in jewelry and textiles helped the Allies during WWII, although using their language as a code definitely did.

B.  The Navajo are well known for their artistry in jewelry and textiles.

The sentence, “During World War II, several hundred Navajo Indians made a major contribution to the Allied victory” is just like a topic sentence.  What this means is that all the following sentences should be an elaboration of some sort for that sentence.  Any sentence that does not mention, specifically, something in regard to what that contribution was will be considered off topic.  As such, to begin to discuss their artistry begins to stray.
