5x4x15=300cm3 per candle

5110/300=17.03

so 17 candles is your answer

To start you would want to find how much wax it takes to make one candle. So 5x4x15 will equal the cm^3 needed to make each candle. That's 300cm^3 of wax for each candle. If they used 5110cm^3, then just divide 5110 by 300. That will give you 17.03, but I'm assuming they want you to to solve to a whole number, so they could get 17 candles out of 5100 cm^3 of wax, and have 10cm^3 remaining.

What is the slope of the function, represented by the table of values below?
Maslowich
Notice the table of values, thus let's pick two points from it, to check what the slope may be,

\bf \begin{array}{l|ccccccc}
x&-2&\underline{1}&2&\underline{4}&7\\
y&16&\underline{4}&0&\underline{-8}&-20
\end{array}\\\\
-------------------------------

\bf \begin{array}{ccccccccc}
&&x_1&&y_1&&x_2&&y_2\\
%  (a,b)
&&(~{{ 1}} &,&{{ 4}}~)
%  (c,d)
&&(~{{ 4}} &,&{{ -8}}~)
\end{array}
\\\\\\
% slope  = m
slope = {{ m}}\implies
\cfrac{\stackrel{rise}{{{ y_2}}-{{ y_1}}}}{\stackrel{run}{{{ x_2}}-{{ x_1}}}}\implies \cfrac{-8-4}{4-1}\implies \cfrac{-12}{3}\\\\\\ \cfrac{-4}{1}\implies -4

Can some one solve this (squar roots)
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

2\sqrt{6}

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the rule of radicals

\sqrt{a} × \sqrt{b} ⇔ \sqrt{ab}

Simplifying the radicals

\sqrt{96}

= \sqrt{16(6)}

= \sqrt{16} × \sqrt{6} = 4\sqrt{6}

\sqrt{24}

= \sqrt{4(6)}

= \sqrt{4} × \sqrt{6} = 2\sqrt{6}

Thus

\sqrt{96} + 2\sqrt{6} - 2\sqrt{24}

= 4\sqrt{6} + 2\sqrt{6} - 4\sqrt{6} ← collect like terms

= 2\sqrt{6}

2/3 divided by 11/15
NNADVOKAT [17]
You need to implement the process of "flip-flop" and multiply which is where you flip the second fraction and multiply.

\frac{2}{3}÷\frac{11}{15}⇒\frac{2}{3}×\frac{15}{11}

Now you multiply across. 2×15=30 and 3×11=33

So now it is \frac{30}{33}

-----------------------------------------------------------
To reduce to the lowest terms, find the GCF common factor

The GCF is 3

Divide both the numerator and denominator by 3

\frac{30}{33}÷\frac{3}{3}=\frac{10}{11}

Answer: \frac{10}{11}
