It depends on what the "ideal" angle is.. the angle that it's propped up against the wall.
A small angle < 45° will get more height but falling backwards off the ladder is more probable. An angle > 45° get's much less height and get's more unsafe the closer to 90° it becomes. I guess you should go with 45° as the ideal angle.

Then the ladder just makes a right triangle with the building.
Opposite side is the height, Hypotenuse is the ladder length.
Soh Cah Toa

Sin(45°) = (height) / (10 ft)
10 × Sin(45°) = height
7.07 ft

labwork [276]
<span>we are given with a swimming pool with dimensions
</span>12-ft-by-15-ft. given that there is a <span>3-ft-wide no-slip surface around it, the new dimensions now become (12+3+3) or 18 ft by (15+3+3) or equal to 21 ft. The perimeter is the sum of the sides of the new rectangle. Perimeter is equal to 18+ 18 + 21 + 21 or equal to 78 feet</span>

a sphere with a radius of 15cm has the same volume as a cylinder with a radius of 5 cm.what is the height od the cylinder
damaskus [11]

Answer:

180cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Vol of sphere = (4/3) pi r^3 and vol of cylinder = pi r^2 h

so

(4/3) pi 15^3 = pi (5)^2 h

(4/3) * 15^3 = 25h

h =  [(4/3) * 15^3 ] / 25  =  180 cm

If the domain of the square root function f(x) is x&lt;7, which statement must be true?
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

The x-term inside the radical has a negative coefficient

Step-by-step explanation:

The argument of a square root should be ALWAYS greater or equal to zero. If the domain of the function is x<7, rearranging, we have: 0<x-7

Therefore the argument is: x-7, and the function is: y = √(x-7)

The statement "The x-term inside the radical has a negative coefficient" is the right answer.
