Hey, okay so each quadrant of the plane is 90 degrees. Added all up together, if a circle was drawn with its center being the origin, it would be 360 degrees. 180 degrees is half of 360, and two times 90. So 180 would take up two quadrants.

Now, since the problem states the object was rotated ABOUT THE ORIGIN, you have to account for the position of the entire object within its quadrant, rather than just a single point of the object. So, the original object has points at (-1, -2), (-4, -4), and (-3, -7). Now, the way I usually do a problem like this is that I find the point closest to the origin (in this case, (-1, -2)), and I draw a little imaginary line from that point to the origin. Then, I flip that little line according to what the problem tells me to (in this case, 180 degrees). So my little imaginary line is now from the origin to the point (1, 2) instead of the point (-1, -2). Then I do the same for all the other points.

I hope this helps!!!

A rectangle has an area of 0.24 of a square. What are some possibility for the length and width of the rectangle? Tell why
VLD [36.1K]

Answer:

The possibilities of length and width of the rectangle are

x=1, y=0.24;

x=0.5, y=0.48;

x=0.25, y=0.96;

x=2, y=0.12

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the area is 0.24 square meter

The area of a rectangle is given by

Area=length\times width square units

Let x be the length and y be the width.

Since the area is 0.24 square meter, we have the equation:

Area=x\times y = 0.24, with x and y measures in meters

If we want to know some possibilities of x and y, we can assume a value for one of them, and then calculate the other one using the equation.

Now choosing some values for "x", we have:

Put x = 1

1\times y = 0.24

∴ y = 0.24

Now put x = 0.5 we get

0.5\times y = 0.24

∴ y = 0.48

Put x = 0.25

0.25\times y = 0.24

∴ y = 0.96

Put x = 2

2\times y = 0.24

∴ y = 0.12

The volume of the above cylinder is 21m find the radius of the circular end
german

Answer:

0.75m

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a prism is:

the area of the cross section × length

In this case the cross section is the circle so the formula is

v = πr²h

volume = 21m³

height or length = 12m

Sub in the values:

21 = πr² × 12

1.75 = πr² (I divided both sides by 12)

0.5570423008 = r² (I divided both sides by π)

r = 0.74635... (I square rooted both sides)

r ≈ 0.75m (to 2 d.p)

No, because it might be cloudy instead.

This is just like the statement, "All squares are rectangles" yet "All rectangles are squares" is not true.

GrogVix [38]
Remaining children = 20-6=14
So 14 children have age of 8 years old.

Average age = (6*5+14*8)/20 ≈ 7.1 ≈ 7 years old
