find the line that passes through the point (-1,3) and the point of intersection of the lines x+3y=1 and 2x-y=-5. Leave your equation in point slope form.

To find the second point noted. Set each equation given to 0.
$y = \frac{ - x + 1}{3}$
And
$y = 2x + 5$
Then find the intersection point of each. I used my calculator and the intersect function but I believe you can do it mathematically as well. The point is (-2,1).
Then to build the equation I used the slope formula and used the slope to move across the graph to the y intercept.
The equation is
$y = 2x + 5$
