Does a dialation preserve an objects size

No, it does not. A dilation is used to change the figures size. It can make an object bigger or smaller. However, dilations make the figure stay the same shape.

If you wanted to preserve an objects size you would mostly use one of the three rigid motions.

They are as follows: Translation, reflection and rotation.

To be a rigid, the transformation MUST leave the size and shape of an object the same.

As an extra fact, a dilation is not a rigid motion.

Hope this helps!!

No.
When you dilate an object, you multiply the values of the points of the figure by a set value. This results in an increase or decrease in size.

Answer:

3.576 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

radius of ball, r=?

Given:

Density, p = 0.600g/mL

mass, m= 115g

finding volume, v of ball by using formula p=m/v

v= m/p

= 115/0.600

=191.666 mL^3

=191.666 cm^3

Now using formula v= (4/3)πr^3 to find radius, r of the ball

r^3= 3v/4π

   = 3(191.666)/4π

   =45.75 cm

r   =3.5767 cm !

Answer: See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Your question isn't well written but let me help out. I saw a similar question.

Example 1: Aling Luz bought 3/8 yards of linen cloth which cost Php 72.00 per yard. She gave Php 1000.00 to the cashier.How much change will she get?

Since we are informed that Aling Luz bought 3/8 yards of linen cloth which cost Php 72.00 per yard, the amount she'll pay will be:

= 3/8 × 72

= Php 27

Since she gave the cashier Php 1000, her change will be:

= 1000 - 27

= Php 973
