Greg started with a certain number of quarters. He then decided on a number of quarters he would save each day. He added the qua

rters he saved to the amount with which he started. At the end of day 2, Greg had a total of 26 quarters saved. At the end of day 5, he had a total of 35 quarters saved.
A. How many quarters does Greg start with? Show or explain your work.
B. Write an equation to model the number of quarters Greg has saved, y, after x days.
C. Using the rate at which Greg is saving, explain why he can never have exactly 100 quarters saved by the end of any given day.

We let
a1 = first term
a2 = second term
a3 = third term
and so on

We are given with
a1 + a2 = 26
S5 (sum of five terms) = 35
The formula for the sum of terms is
Sn = (a1 + an) (n/2)
SO
35 = (a1 + a5) (5/2)

The formula for an arithmetic term is
an = a1 + d(n-1)
For
a2 = a1 + d
we know that
a1 + a2 = 26

Simply for a1, a2, and d. Then use the formula to get the other items asked.

Find the value of x and the value of y.
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

Option A

Step-by-step explanation:

To find all missing sides of a right triangle we use the sine, cosine or tangent ratio as below,

sinθ = \frac{\text{Opposite side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

cosθ = \frac{\text{Adjacent side}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

tanθ = \frac{\text{Opposite side}}{\text{Adjacent side}}

Now we take an angle measuring 60°

sin(60°) = \frac{6}{y}

\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}=\frac{6}{y}

y = 4√3

tan(60°) = \frac{6}{x}

√3 = \frac{6}{x}

x = 2√3

Therefore, Option A will be the correct option.

Claires is paid $90 for five hours of work at this rate how many seconds does it take for her to earn $.25
maria [59]

First find her rate per hour by dividing $90 by 5 hours:

90 / 5 = 18

She makes $18 in one hour.

1 hour = 3600 seconds.

Divide her hourly rate by 3600 to find how much she makes per second:

18 / 3600 = $0.005 per second.

Now divide $0.25 by 0.005 to find the number of seconds needed:

0.25 / 0.005 = 50

It takes 50 seconds.

BRAINLIST AND A THANK YOU AND 5 stars WILL BE REWARDED PLS ANSER
vichka [17]

Answer:

The first picture's answer would be (6, 21)

Step-by-step explanation:

You have to find the points on the 8th and the 9th day, and then you would add them together, and then divide by two finding the average, which would be 24 and 18, so when added, you get 42, divided by 2 you get 21. You look on the graph for the point with 21, and you find it is on 6.
