This example is an emotion from Jie that is projected because she has come out of a bad relationship and she is excited to be single again. Where Jie felt that by being single Jie could feel the freedom that was restricted in the previous moment Jie underwent a relationship.

Further Explanation

Emotions are intense feelings directed at someone or something. Emotions are reactions to someone or events. Emotion can be shown when feeling happy about something, angry at someone, or afraid of something.

The word "emotion" is derived from the French word, émotion, from émouvoir, 'excitement' from the Latin emovere, from e- (ex- variant) 'outside' and movere 'moving'. Most experts believe that emotions pass faster than moods. For example, if someone is being rude, people will feel angry. These intense feelings of anger may come and go quickly enough but when in a bad mood, a person can feel unwell for several hours.

Here are 6 basic emotions that exist in every human being.

1. Angry

Anger is an emotion that arises because something is bothering us. When we feel angry, our minds perceive the source of anger as an "enemy".

2. Fear

Fear is an emotion that arises because something is harmful to us. When feeling afraid, our minds will perceive the source of fear as "danger".

3. Sad

Sadness is an emotion that arises because we feel something is missing. When feeling sad, the mind will perceive that we are "isolated".

4. Happy

Happy is an emotion that arises because we feel we have gained something. When happy, the mind will feel that we are "having" something.

5. Disgust

Disgust is an emotion that arises because we are dealing with something disgusting. When disgusted, the mind will perceive the subject of disgust as "poison".

6. Surprised

Surprised are emotions that arise because we are dealing with the sudden appearance of something. When feeling surprised, the mind will perceive the source of shock as "what is this? (Thing) or what is this? (Event)".

Answer:

Excitement, in this example, is an emotion because it is subjective and personal relative to the individual experiencing it.

Explanation:

When talking about emotions, it must be taken into account that they are part of the life of each person, each experiences it in different ways according to the situation they encounter. Emotions develop when the person is in a case of danger, ecstasy, or imbalance because they work as a mechanism that allows us to react automatically. These reactions occur differently in each person.

Among the primary emotions are fear, sadness, joy, and anger, and each one of them presents different physiological and behavioral reactions.

For example, such as the person is sad, they usually cry, feel a low mood, and feel that they have no energy to perform activities.

In this case, Jie presents a different emotion from what his friend expected, which is why he thinks it can be negative. Still, the emotions will depend on each person and how he reacts to the situation since these are subjective and personal.
