The process of photosynthesis can be defined as the process by which the plants and blue green algae make food by the use of water and carbon dioxide are used in the presence of sunlight to get converted into glucose.
The leaves of the plant is the main site for this process and the conversion of light energy into chemical energy takes place here only.
Carbon dioxide that is used in this process is removed from atmosphere which is a greenhouse gas.
