We know that
\frac{ab}{cd} = \frac{a}{c} \times  \frac{b}{d}

Therefore
\frac{6\times10^{5}}{3\times10^{2}} = \frac{6}{3} \times  \frac{10^{5}}{10^{2}} =2 \times 10^{5-2} = 2 \times 10^{3} = 2000

This verifies that Camile's method is justified.

1. Chris takes 25 minutes to replace one car tyre.
vekshin1

Chris and Jim must replace a <em>total</em> quantity of 17 tyres.

<h3>What is the minimum number of tyres to be replaced?</h3>

In this problem we must use an inequality of the form f(x) ≥ a, where f(x) is the difference between the number of tyres replaced by Jim and the number of tyres replaced by Chris:

(25/20) · x - x ≥ 3

(5/20) · x ≥ 3

x ≥ 12

Then, the <em>minimum</em> number of tyres to be replaced is n = 15 + 12 = 17 tyres.

Name the property of real numbers illustrated by the equation 16(3t + 4v) = 48t + 64v.
scZoUnD [109]
The property of real numbers illustrated by the equation 16(3t+4v)=48t+ 64v.

 Therefore, the answer is: Distributive property.

 As you can see, you have the equation 16(3t+4v), and when you apply the Distributive property, you obtain:

 16(3t+4v)
 (16)(3t)+(16)(4v)
 48t+64v

What is the distance from P to Q ?A. 7 unitsB. 5 unitsC. 1 unitD. 25 unitshow do I find the distance from P to Q?
Alex17521 [72]

to find the distance between 2 points we should apply the formula

d=\sqrt[]{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-_{}y_1)^2_{}}

call point q as point 1 for reference in the formula and p as point 2

replace the coordinates in the formula

d=\sqrt[]{(3-(-1))^2+(-4-(-1))^2}

simplify the equation

\begin{gathered} d=\sqrt[]{(3+1)^2+(-4+1)^2} \\ d=\sqrt[]{4^2+(-3)^2} \\ d=\sqrt[]{16+9} \\ d=\sqrt[]{25} \\ d=5 \end{gathered}

the distance between the 2 points is 5 units
