Catholics were granted representation in parliament.

In the mid-1840s Famine caused due to potato blight was the main cause of massive Irish immigration to the United States. Thousands of poor labors migrated to the United States due to poverty and hunger. In 17th and 18th century Penal laws restricted Irish Catholics for representation in parliament and also restricted their voting rights. However, the Roman Catholics relief act has given the demands of the Catholics who stayed in Ireland after the famine and granted the representation to sit in parliament.

Which action was intended to increase the freedom of the colonies
damaskus [11]

Answer:

Navigation Act

Explanation:

The 1651 Navigation Acts were laws that put restrictions on colonial trade by the British Parliament and which were used to increase British power to the detriment of the American colonies.

These laws required all the imports of the colonists to be bought by Britain or resold by them irrespective of its price elsewhere. The British used this to help pay off the debts they got during the French and Indian war.

The effect of Uncle Tom's Cabin on the nation was toa. spread the message of abolitionism to an enormous new audience.
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

B

Explanation:

Uncle Tom's Cabin is a novel on the topic of anti-slavery, written by Harriet Beecher Stowe. This book is credited with raising concerns with slave trade leading up to the civil war in America.

Before the civil war, many people were in support of slave trade, because they did not know the extent to which the slaves were treated. This book highlights the indecencies slaves had to put up with, and puts emphasis on the need for change. So that slaves can be seen as people, and not as property. Many people are unable to treat others badly if they acknowledge the feeling and humanity of the victim.
