If the discount is 30% and the sale price is $206.50 what is the original price

let's say the original price is "x", so that'd be the 100%.

and we know that is discounted by 30%, 100% - 30% = 70%, we know the discounted price is 206.50, so namely 206.50 is the 70% then.

if 206.50 is 70% of "x", what is "x"?

\bf \begin{array}{ccll} amount&\%\\ \cline{1-2} 206.50&70\\ x&100 \end{array}\implies \cfrac{206.50}{x}=\cfrac{70}{100}\implies \cfrac{206.50}{x}=\cfrac{7}{10} \\\\\\ 2065=7x\implies \cfrac{2065}{7}=x\implies 295=x

Triangle fgh is inscribed in circle o the length of radius oh is 6 and fh is congruent to og. what is the area of the sector for
Vilka [71]
Given :
<span>Triangle fgh is inscribed in circle o
</span>
oh = 6 = radius of the circle
<span>∵ fh is congruent to og
</span>
<span>∴ fh = og = radius og the circle = 6
</span>
<span>∵ of = radius of the circle = 6
</span>
<span>∴ oh = fh = of = radius of the circle = 6
</span>
∴ Δ foh is Equilateral Triangle

<span> </span>∴∠ foh = 60° ⇒⇒⇒ property of <span>the equilateral Triangle
</span>
∵ total area of the circle = π r²  and total central angle of the circle = 360°
∴ Area of sector foh = (60°/360°) * π r²
∴ Area of sector foh = (60°/360°) * π * 6² ≈ 18.85

The answer is:

<span>the area of the sector formed by angle foh  = 18.85</span>

Answer:

  1. 80
  2. 40
  3. 10 to 20, inclusive

Step-by-step explanation:

1. The various goals can be met without filling the theater. This fact means there is a range of possibilities for each of the answers. However, we take the wording, "because of the demand for tickets ..." to mean demand is high and the theater will be sold out.

Since two children's tickets will be sold for each adult ticket sold, the number of children's tickets is 2/3 of the total.

  children's tickets = 2/3 × 120 = 80

__

2. The remaining 40 tickets will be adult tickets.

  40 adult tickets will be sold.

__

3. The total revenue must be at least $1800. If we allow 'd' tickets to be sold at a discount, then we can find the limits on d using the inequality ...

  24(40-d) +24(0.75)d +12(80) ≥ 1800 . . . . revenue from ticket sales

  -6d ≥ -120 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . collect terms, subtract 1920

  d ≤ 20 . . . . . . . . . . divide by -6

  At least 10 and at most 20 adult tickets can be sold with a discount.

("At least 10" comes from the problem requirements.)
