Assuming it's g(x)=\dfrac{1}{x-2}

y=\dfrac{1}{x-2}\\ x-2=\dfrac{1}{y}\\ x=\dfrac{1}{y}+2\\ g^{-1}(x)=\dfrac{1}{x}+2

Triangle ABC is reflected across the x-axis, and then across the y-axis. Which rotation is equivalent to this composition of tra
larisa [96]

Answer:

<em>C) 180 degree rotation </em>

Step-by-step explanation:

While reflecting a point, with coordinates as (x, y), over x axis the new co-ordinates become (x, -y)

⇒(x, y) → (x, -y)

While reflecting a point, with coordinates as (x, y), over y axis the new co-ordinates become (-x, y)

⇒(x, y) → (-x, y)

So, when these two operations are combined, they the rule followed is,

⇒(x, y) → (-x, -y)

We also know that while rotating a point, with coordinates as (x, y), 180° the new co-ordinates become (-x, -y)

⇒(x, y) → (-x, -y)

Therefore, reflecting a point over x axis and then over y axis will yield the same result as rotating a point 180°.

Derrick’s Dog Sitting and Darlene’s Dog Sitting are competing for new business. Derrick's Dog Sitting charges $12 plus $5 per ho
Sonja [21]
<h3><em><u>The equation to find the number of hours for which the total cost will be the same for the two services is:</u></em></h3><h3>12 + 5h = 18 + 3h</h3>

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Let "h" be the number of hours

Given that,

<em><u>Derrick's Dog Sitting charges $12 plus $5 per hour</u></em>

Cost : 12 + 5(number of hours )

Cost : 12 + 5h ---------- eqn 1

<em><u>Darlene's Dog Sitting charges $18 plus $3 per hour</u></em>

Cost: 18 + 3(number of hours)

Cost: 18 + 3h ---------- eqn 1

<em><u>For eqn 1 = eqn 2,  the number of hours for the total cost will be the same for the two services</u></em>

Therefore,

12 + 5h = 18 + 3h

Thus option A is correct

Ruby Company produces a chair for which the standard specifies 5 yards of material per unit. The standard price of one yard of m
azamat

Answer

given,

Standard price = $ 7.50

8,500 chairs were manufactured, using 43,600 yards at a cost of $7.55 per yard.

Price Variance = Actual Quantity x (Actual Rate - Standard Rate)

                         = 43,600 x (7.55 - 7.50)

                         = 2180 (U)

Quantity Variance = Standard Rate x (Actual Quantity - Standard Quantity)

                              = 7.5 x (43600 - 8500 x 5)

                              = 8250 (U)

Cost Variance = 2180+ 8250 = 10430 (U)
