<span>The pitch of the roof is one of the two major measures of roof angle, the other being slope. In order to calculate the roof pitch as a fraction, one should divide the rise of the roof by the span, which is defined as the length between the exterior of the top plate of one wall and that of the corresponding wall on the other side of the building.</span>

What is the equation for this line
pogonyaev

The equation of the line is y=\frac{-1}{5} x-\frac{21}{5}.

Solution:

The points on the line are (–6, –3) and (4, –5).

 x_{1}=-6, y_{1}=-3, x_{2}=4, y_{2}=-5

Slope of the line:

 $m=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

 $m=\frac{-5-(-3)}{4-(-6)}

 $m=\frac{-5+3}{4+6}

$m=\frac{-2}{10}

$m=\frac{-1}{5}

Point-slope formula:

 y-y_{1}=m\left(x-x_{1}\right)

 $y-(-3)=\frac{-1}{5}(x-(-6))

 $y+3=\frac{-1}{5}(x+6)

 $y+3=\frac{-1}{5} x-\frac{6}{5}

Subtract 3 from both sides of the equation.

$y=\frac{-1}{5} x-\frac{21}{5}

The equation of the line is  y=\frac{-1}{5} x-\frac{21}{5}.

PLZ HELP :(
Georgia [21]
The ordered pairs are:
<span>{(1, 80), (2, 240), (3, 720), (4, 2160)}

with
a_1 = 80
a_2 = 240
a_3 = 720
a_4 = 2160

The terms are in a geometric sequence with a common ratio of
240/80 = 720/240 = 2160/720 = 3

The equation is:
a_n = 80 * 3^(n - 1)</span>
