Answer:

A forest ecosystem can support a limited number of bears because bears are the supreme predators of their ecosystem and very few animals can hunt bears so nature by supporting a limited number of bear populations supports a balanced number of population of its prey like insects, fishes, deer.

Another reason for the limited population of bear is that bear occupies the highest trophic level in the ecosystem so according to 10% law of energy transfer, it will get very less energy from its food so it needs to eat more.

Therefore the population of bears is limited because the environment can not meet the energy requirement of many bears so a forest ecosystem can support a limited number of bears.

If their are to many bears all the bears will eat all the plants and smaller animals and keep multiplying so there would be almost no natural vegetation and less and less smaller animals which would eventually destroy the ecosystem and in the end everything dies including the bears.

Vilka [71]

Answer:

d. Some retinal cells will have an active X with the mutant allele of the opsin1 gene, and some will have an active X with the normal allele of the opsin1 gene.

Explanation:

X-inactivation (or silencing of X chromosome) is a process that occurs in females in order to prevent females from having twice as many X chromosome gene products as males. It occurs randomly during the embryonic development. Another important characteristic of X chromosome inacativation is that it occurs on a cellular level which leads to mosaic expression. This means that some cells will have an inactive maternal X-chromosome and some inactive paternal X-chromosome.

xeze [42]

Green decade theory helps explain why coverage of ecology issues after the first earth day in 1970 sparked an increase in public concern about the environment.

The concept of green growth is concentrated to assume with economic growth and development can continue while combined with the negative impacts on the environment which include climate change are getting reduced while the natural environment continues to provide services concerned with ecosystem means to decouple.

The critical theory tradition contains the Green theory which makes sense that environmental issues arising out of questions about concerns among ourselves and others in the perspective of community and collective type of decision-making.

Green Growth results in the fostering of economic growth and development conditions while ensuring that the natural assets continue to provide the aspects of productive resources and environmental services where our well-being was settled up.

Which question is testable?
Nuetrik [128]

The correct answer is: A. How does changing the amount of water affect the growth of corn?

While options B, C & D are not impossible to test, option A is the only question that can be tested using quantitative methods, such as statistical analysis. The question in option A states: "How does changing the amount of water affect the growth of corn?". This question is easily testable using scientific investigation, because controlled or measured amounts of water can be added to corn, and the consequent growth rate of corn can be easily measured and recorded. However, the questions in options B, C & D cannot be precisely measured using quantitative tools, since they aim to measure qualitative (subjective) factors, such as: ethics, happiness and disappointment.

Why element of the xylem in vascular bundle is less than the phloem?<br>
Neko [114]

Answer:

The element of the xylem in vascular bundle is less than the phloem because the Xylem carries water which is a raw material to manufacture the food.

Explanation:

A pair of xylem and phloem is termed to be a 'vascular bundle'.

The purpose of the Xylem tissue is to transport the water from the roots to the stems and leaves. Other compounds are also transported which are dissolved in the water. Phloem, on the other hand, helps in transporting food from leaves to other parts of the plant.
